The humour is interesting, mainly of all the girls fawning over their undead lord (like, seriously, how on earth is he meant to bone them, pun intended), though their reasons for loving him seem rather flimsy currently aside from 'they were programmed to do that before and it's just carried over', though I am looking forwards to seeing him earn their trust a bit more. There is also exploration into how his mind is slowly changing from human form to undead form, and I am looking forwards to how this may change with the whole 'keeping hold of his humanity' aspect. Season 1 of Overlord was a series of thirteen episodes that premiered in Summer 2015 and it covers the first three volumes of the light novels. The main character is entertaingly over powered compared to mostly everyone he meets, and shows a interesting level of cunning and deception that the goddess Lloth herself would be pleased with as he tries to find out more about his Overlord is a dark fantasy anime based on its Japanese novel counterpart written by Kugane Maruyama. So our hero gets trapped in an mmorpg as his player character, yet his player character is some skeleton lich character and he belonged to a guild of people who are no longer in the world he get's trapped in, yet he has access to the servants and artifcats they've gathered and crafted. Where to start with this little beauty of a gem without revealing any spoilers. Determined to make sense of the bizarre situation, Momonga embarks on a journey to unravel the mysteries hidden in this uncharted world. Left with no other options, Momonga takes on the name of his guild in hopes that other players would recognize Ainz Ooal Gown. Instead, he finds himself in a new world-now trapped in the body of his avatar and where non-player characters are aware of their feelings. However, he is not forcefully booted out of the game. Wanting to witness the game’s final hours, Momonga, the leader of the guild Ainz Ooal Gown, logs in for the last time and heads toward the guild’s headquarters.Īfter reminiscing about his comrades and adventures, Momonga prepares for the server to automatically log him out as the clock strikes midnight. By his recurring appearances in all the Overlord games, it can be assumed that he is possibly the first minion ever spawned. Gnarl is the aged and much-feared Minion Master of the Minion horde, loyal servant of Darkness, advisor and personal right-claw of many Overlords throughout history.
